Imports don’t help our economy

An American invented ship-loading container technology, which includes cranes. So why are we importing cranes from China along with all the other electronics, shoes and clothing? Meanwhile, in Congress, Republicans, Democrats, tea partiers and Libertarians are all yapping at each other over who’s at fault for the imbalance of trade, unemployment, Obamacare, foreign policies and the national debt that never stops growing.

In due course, the free-trade agreements, with level playing fields, will be coming up. Isn’t designing and building new giant cranes good for our shipyards, engineers, workers and economy?
