My grandmother is a gift

Do what makes you happy. Don’t push; do things in life in moderation. Be grateful, not just for what you have, but for all the awful things you don’t have. Appreciate the small things, slow down and listen to feel-good music.

These things might seem fundamental, but how many times do we incorporate these life lessons to enrich our own lives? Upon observing my grandmother’s daily routine and attitude toward life, I realized there is so much to be learned from her.

I’m eternally grateful to have her and am honored to call her my grandmother. I thank her for all of the years of kindness, unconditional love, endless faith and motivation and for all she has instilled in me. She is a true gift to the world; especially to me.

  • Can’t blame LeBron

LeBron James knew he could not win a ring in Cleveland, so he brought his talents to South Beach. You can’t blame him for that. It was terrible for his hometown. He accomplished his dream and gave Miami and Florida a great ride.

  • Obama can’t win

Hundreds of children are voluntarily turning themselves in to the U.S. Border Patrol, at the Mexican border. They actively seek out the Border Patrol to turn themselves in. They present no violent threat that requires additional armed personnel to protect the Public Safety.

  • Where’s Israeli peace?

I read with dismay the letter from Audrey Bomse, of Jewish Voice for Peace, which suggested that the end of the Israeli occupation of the West Bank was the way to peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians.
