Florida’s state-supported workforce network for the unemployed has a new name and logo that business and community leaders unveiled Monday at the North Miami Beach Career Center.
CareerSource Florida has been rebranded from Workforce Florida. In Miami-Dade and Monroe counties, CareerSource South Florida — formerly South Florida Workforce — will continue to provide employment help for job-seekers, including resume assistance, career coaching and skills training. Broward’s WorkForce One Employment Solutions has been renamed CareerSource Broward as part of the effort.
Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez and CareerSource South Florida Executive Director Rick Beasley promoted the brand face-lift at the North Miami Beach center, one of about 100 centers statewide that are available to serve Florida’s more than 550,000 unemployed.
CareerSource South Florida also includes a fleet of mobile workforce assistance centers: air-conditioned, wheelchair-accessible vehicles equipped with Internet workstations and training tools. Visit careersourcesfl.com for more information.
