Romero returns to Impact

Montreal, QC ( - The Montreal Impact announced on Monday that midfielder Andres Romero will return for the 2014 season.

The Argentine comes back to the MLS side on a loan from Brazilian club Tombense FC and the deal will be official upon receipt of Romero's International Transfer Certificate.

As per MLS policy, details of the deal were not disclosed.

Last season, Romero scored a pair of goals and added two assists in 30 games played, 20 starts. He also helped the team win the Canadian Championship, scoring once in four games, three as a starter. In addition, he played two CONCACAF Champions League matches.

Prior to joining the Impact, he played in the Brazilian first and second divisions, as well as in the Argentine first division with Argentinos Junior.
