Indianapolis, IN (SportsNetwork.com) - The Indianapolis Colts have signed safety David Sims.

Sims spent the 2012 season with the Philadelphia Eagles and notched eight tackles in 15 games, including one start. He was waived before the start of the 2013 season.

The Iowa State product signed with the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent in the summer of 2011 but was among the team's last cuts. He spent time with Tampa Bay and Cleveland, but did not appear in a game with either team.
