Brian Gaine is on the clock.

Gaine, the former Miami Dolphins personnel assistant who was a finalist for their general manager job, has accepted a position in the Houston Texans’ front office, the Miami Herald has confirmed.

The Houston Chronicle reports that Gaine will serve as the director of pro scouting. The Texans own the first overall pick in May’s draft.

Gaine spent the past six seasons with the Dolphins, but was let go just three days after the team chose Dennis Hickey over him for the GM job.
