Flames sign Russell to two-year deal

Calgary, AB (SportsNetwork.com) - The Calgary Flames have signed defenseman Kris Russell to a two-year contract worth $2.6 million per season.

Russell has appeared in 44 games for the Flames this season and has compiled four goals with 16 assists for 20 points.

The 26-year-old Alberta native has 27 goals and 88 assists for 115 points in 408 NHL games with Calgary, St. Louis and Columbus.
