South Carolina: Camellia Walks at Middleton Place

MCT file

Charleston’s getting a jump on spring with its annual Camellia Walks at Middleton Place, where the flowers bloom during the depths of winter. From pristine white to all shades of red and pink, more than 3,500 camellias enhance the gardens with a blaze of color, some more than 220 years old. The walks begin Thursday and will be held on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays through March 22. Reservations are required.
