Pacers' Stephenson won't play Friday

The Sports Network

Indianapolis, IN (SportsNetwork.com) - Indiana Pacers guard Lance Stephenson will miss Friday's tilt with the Portland Trail Blazers due to a sore lower back suffered earlier in the week.

Stephenson converted an acrobatic three-point play early in the third quarter of Tuesday's 89-85 win over Atlanta, but fell awkwardly on his back and left the contest.

Stephenson, who leads the NBA with four triple-doubles this season, has started every game he's played in. He is averaging 14.1 points, 7.2 rebounds and 5.3 assists for the 38-10 Pacers.

Danny Granger will make his second start of the season in Stephenson's absence.
