David Beckham makes rounds to Scarpetta, Zuma

David Beckham had dinner Monday night at Scarpetta with American Idol creator Simon Fuller, who was overheard telling the football pinup he was too pitchy. Just kidding. Beckham and Fuller dined Tuesday at Zuma, this time with a group of friends. Beckham, sporting that skinny tie, “was in a great mood, joking and socializing.”

Dexter's Aimee Garcia was seen Wednesday having dinner at Catch Miami at the James Royal Palm.

After dinner with a friend at Zuma's sushi counter, actor Paul Giamatti was seen Wednesday at The Corner Bar drinking, says our spy, New Orleans' classic Vieux Carré cocktails. He was also there on Tuesday for their weekly jazz night. Giamatti is in town filming a pilot episode for Hoke, FX's new comedic drama based on author Charles Willeford's detective novels.

Prince Pierre d’Arenberg and his wife, Princess Sylvie d’Arenberg of the Netherlands were spotted dining Wednesday at Lippi. The royals enjoyed a quiet and intimate evening, says our spy.

Barry Gibb is the headliner at the 40th Love and Hope Ball on Feb. 15 at the Weston Diplomat Resort and Spa. Gibb and his wife Linda are the chairmen of the charity that has raised more than $50 million in proceeds for the Diabetes Research Institute. Tickets are $600 and available at

Al Capone’s former Palm Island estate just underwent an almost $1 million price drop. The home last sold in June 2013 for $7.43 million and was back on the market just a few months later. It was listed again on Nov. 13 for $8.9 million and on Monday was reduced in price to $8.45 million, according to RedFin. In other big money real estate news, Fisher Island real estate broker/investor Mary Ann Portell has sold her 7,300 sq. ft., 7-bedroom beachside sprawl for $12,500,000 to healthcare mogul Jose Seripieri Filho, one of the richest men in Brazil according to Forbes. This is the highest recorded sale on the Island to date.
