David Beckham’s ad in the Miami Herald attracts attention of the Daily Mirror in U.K.


The Daily Mirror in the United Kingdom has taken note of David Beckham’s love for Miami.

David Beckham has taken out an advert in the Miami Herald praising the city and admitting his excitement at bringing a Major League Soccer franchise to the area,” the paper wrote on Thursday.

On Wednesday, Beckham, the former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder, announced that he will be opening a new soccer franchise in Miami.

“The 38-year-old, in a full page ad, offered his thanks to those who welcomed him to the city, also revealing that the franchise will not be seeking county or city funding for the construction of the stadium,” the Daily Mirror wrote.
