Beholder back in trainer's fold

The Sports Network

Arcadia, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Champion filly Beholder has returned to the barn of her trainer Richard Mandella ahead of the start of her 2014 campaign.

Owned by Spendthrift Farm, Beholder was given a vacation after winning last November's Breeders' Cup Distaff at Santa Anita.

"She looks great," the Hall of Fame trainer said. "I'm very happy to have her back. As for when she runs, we'll make plans as she tells us to."

Beholder has earned $3,075,000 during her 12 race career with eight wins. She has two Eclipse Awards as 2012 champion 2-year-old and 2013 champion 3-year- old filly.
