Pelicans sign F Babbitt

New Orleans, LA (SportsNetwork.com) - The New Orleans Pelicans signed forward Luke Babbitt on Tuesday.

Babbitt, 24, joins the Pelicans after playing for a Russian team in the Euroleague this season.

Selected 16th overall by Minnesota in 2010, Babbitt was traded on draft night to Portland and averaged 3.8 points and 2.1 rebounds in 126 games over three seasons with the Trail Blazers.
