In regards to the negotiations to build a Major League Soccer stadium at PortMiami: Miami-Dade Commissioner Xavier Suarez mentioned that he is still worried that a seaport stadium could attract terrorists. Never mind that an arena is on the bay and cruise ships are always docked at the port. Terrorism, by definition, is the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce. If terrorism is his excuse for not building a stadium, or for any major decision he has to make, then the terrorists have already won, and Suarez has surrendered to them.
