Raleigh, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Cam Ward has been activated off injured reserve and sent to the club's American Hockey League affiliate in Charlotte for conditioning.

Ward has missed the team's last 13 games with a lower body injury. It was his second stint on IR this season, as he also missed 10 games in October and November with a lower body problem.

In 19 games this season, Ward has a record of 6-7-5 with a 3.15 goals-against average and an .895 save percentage. He hasn't played since Dec. 31 against Montreal and is set to play for the Checkers on Friday.
