Miami Gardens police arrested a suspect in a homicide that took place last month.

Police arrested Marcus Flowers, 32, for the shooting death of Dallard Clark, 40.

The incident took place at about 2:30 p.m. Dec. 9 when officers responded to a shooting at the 19500 block of Northwest 30th Court. Police said they saw Clark lying on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound.

Witnesses said the two men were involved in a fight that escalated when Flowers apparently pulled out a gun and shot Clark, then ran away. Clark was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital where he later died.

Flowers has been charged with second-degree murder with a weapon.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and have not confirmed if any other suspect was involved.
