Miami Mozarteum makes impressive debut

Miami has lacked a professional chamber orchestra for a decade, but Miami Mozarteum is stepping into the breach.

Celebrating the 258th birthday of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the 27-member ensemble debuted Monday night at Miami’s Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, opening a three-concert series under the direction of co-founder Scott Flavin, a violin professor at the University of Miami Frost School of Music.
