Charter flights for cruise passengers coming to Miami International Airport

Miami International Airport is getting a little more business this year thanks to cruise passengers.

Miami-based Celebrity Cruises has contracted with Canadian North Airlines for weekly charter flights between Hamilton, Ontario and Miami, the airport announced this week.

The flights, on a Boeing 737-300 that carries 136 passengers, start on March 1 and continue through April 5.

Parent company Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. said in a statement that the exclusive charter agreement is meant to provide convenient air service is for travelers going on select Celebrity Cruises sailings from South Florida.
