The prime suspect in the murder of a Canadian tourist stabbed to death in the street over the weekend surrendered to police Monday night.

The victim, Domenico Perruccio, 58, who was staying with friends in Hollywood, was found on the street in the 1700 block of Jefferson Street near Federal Highway, according to Hollywood police.

He was apparently stabbed to death.

On Monday, police had said they has issued warrant against Twane Dobard, 37, of Broward County, who remained at large.

At 9 p.m. Dobard turned himself in to Hallandale Beach police. It’s unclear what charges he will face.

Police released few details about what led to Perruccio’s death.

“The suspect and the victim were involved in some sort of altercation,” said Hollywood police spokesman Lt. Osvaldo Perez.
