Telemundo puts second singing show in Orlando

Telemundo announced Monday it would be filming a second musical contest show in Orlando.

The Hialeah-based network’s first adult singing competition, El Artista, will join La Voz Kids, in Orlando’s Universal Studios. Both Universal and Telemundo are owned by NBCUniversal.

La Voz, Telemundo’s most popular reality show, was filmed in the Miami area before Telemundo announced the Orlando move last month. Telemundo announced the arrival of El Artista at a press conference Monday at the NATPE convention, a Miami Beach gathering for the television industry.

Telemundo is partnering with Spain’s Reset TV for the new show, which is scheduled to premiere later this year.
