Canadian tourist found dead on Hollywood street


Detectives are trying to determine how a Canadian tourist found on a Hollywood sidewalk died early Sunday.

Police said they received a call around 4:30 a.m. reporting a body on Jefferson Street, just east of Federal Highway.

When officers arrived they found the victim. The man appeared to have been stabbed.

An autopsy will help determine the exact cause of death.

Police have learned the victim was vacationing in Hollywood and staying with friends.

The victim’s name has not been released.
