Shared Belief still unable to work

The Sports Network

Arcadia, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Champion Shared Belief was again held out of training at Santa Anita on Friday due to a recent injury.

It was reported earlier this week that the Eclipse Award-winning gelding was to have a workout Friday, but Hall of Fame trainer Jerry Hollendorfer kept the 3-year-old in the barn.

Shared Belief is recovering from a foot abscess that was initially not regarded as serious by Hollendorfer.

"I don't have any news for the next 15 days," Hollendorfer told Santa Anita on Friday.

Shared Belief won the CashCall Futurity on Dec. 14 at Hollywood Park by 5 3/4 lengths and is perfect in his first three career starts for $451,200. He is to make his 2014 debut in the Robert B. Lewis Stakes on Saturday, Feb. 8.
