Banning Dan Le Batard from future Hall of Fame voting is hypocrisy by the Baseball Writers Association of America members. Many of them didn’t submit their ballots or didn’t fill in all 10 places on this year’s ballot, resulting in the shameful situation of leaving out of the Hall a player like Craig Biggio. Last year these intellectuals of sport, many of whom never played baseball, didn’t elect one single player. Some of these sports writers even revealed their selection on a television network where they are contributors without a penalty.
It is time that the Hall of Fame selection is done the right way — by people who know the game of baseball.
