New eateries coming to Fort Lauderdale airport

Over the next few years, travelers at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport will get a better taste of the city.

Under an agreement signed recently with restaurateur HMSHost, the airport will open 25 new dining options over the next few years in terminals 1 and 2.

The changes will be phased in through 2017, starting this spring. New venues will include Starbucks — there will eventually be five — as well as Shula Burger, Offerdahl’s Café Grill and Air Margaritaville. Some local restaurants including Tarpon Bend Food & Tackle, Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza and Rocco’s Tacos will also have airport outposts.
