Miami police are investigating the shooting of two men in the city Wednesday evening.
The wounded were found within a few blocks of each other around 7 p.m.
A young black man was shot multiple times in front of an apartment complex at 230 Northeast 55th Terrace. A second man was found shot at 125 Northeast 56 Street, police said.
Miami police said they didn’t know whether the shootings happened in a single location, but they got simultaneous 911 calls about them. Both men were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma unit. Their names weren’t released.
“Two people were shot. Both are in serious condition. The motive is unknown,’’ said department spokeswoman Officer Kenia Reyes. “We don’t know whether the shootings were connected.’’
