Before the 1967 Six-Day War, the Palestinians had all the land they are now demanding, including the old city of Jerusalem. They were not satisfied then, and Israel was attacked by the armies of several Arab countries who vowed to push the Jews “into the sea.” Why should anyone believe that they will be satisfied and peaceful now if they get all that back?
Israel deserves to retain Jerusalem as its eternal and historic capital in addition to defensible borders. The Palestinians blew it then and now need to accept the situation as it is and move on to peace.
