Codina Partners and Lennar creating joint venture to buy the White Course

Codina Partners and Lennar Corp. “are teaming up to aggressively pursue acquisition of the White Course,” a 125-acre golf course adjacent to Codina Partners’ Downtown Doral development in Doral, said Ana-Marie Codina Barlick, chief executive of Codina Partners.

The White Course, fronting 87th Avenue, across from the current Trump National Doral Miami and contiguous to Downtown Doral, is currently owned by the government of Singapore, and is expected to come up for sale this year. A representative from the government of Singapore recently visited Miami to meet with potential buyers and industry experts, Codina said.

“We have expressed a strong interest in acquiring it,” she said.

If the two companies’ joint venture is successful in buying the White Course, each partner will develop a different part of the mixed-use property, which would include residential, retail and commercial development, Codina said.

“As one of the pioneer builders in what is now the bustling city of Doral, we are excited to participate with the Codina organization in this exciting new mixed-use development,” said Eric Feder, president of Lennar Commercial, in a statement on Tuesday.
