1 dead in Northwest Miami-Dade shooting



Miami-Dade police are searching for clues into a shooting that left one man dead in Northwest Miami-Dade.

According to police, a man was shot and killed behind an apartment building at Northwest 156th Street and Second Avenue.

Witnesses said they first heard the shots around 11 Sunday night. At least six shots were fired at the man.

Neighbors heard the gunfire.

“I was in my house and when I heard the shots, I had to hit the floor. What else are you gonna do? I got kids in there,” Nathan Jones said.

The victim has not been identified and police don’t have a motive for the shooting.
