BSO searches for 7-Eleven robber who took cash and candy bar

The Broward Sheriff’s Office is looking for an armed robber who got away with $45 from a cash register - and a candy bar.

BSO said the robbery played out at 10:25 p.m. on Jan. 3 at a 7-Eleven in Tamarac. Police said clerk Claude Robert, was behind the counter when a customer approached the register to pay.

As Robert rang up a bottle of water, the man pulled out a gun from his waistband and demanded the cash in the register. Robert handed over the money and the thief fled with the cash - and police said a Nutrageous candy bar.

A surveillance camera video released by BSO shows the robbery, but not the chocolate bar heist.
