Why are police officers almost always rehired after they are fired? It seems that police officers are in the same category as federal workers — nobody gets fired or stays fired.
A former Opa-locka police sergeant has been fired six times. I would venture a guess that 90 percent of fired cops are rehired because arbitrators, police unions and police departments will not stand up and say No because of the fear of lawsuits. What is wrong with this picture?
