Hialeah officials have lifted a two-week boil-water alert.
The alert, issued Dec. 21, affected the area north of West 60th Street, south of the city’s northern boundary and west of the Palmetto Expressway.
According to a city announcement, there had been low water pressure in the distribution system. The city’s public works department, the Florida Department of Health and the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department had flushed, sampled and tested water quality since the alert was issued.
Residents may still see city crews in the area of West 84th Street between 30th and 36th avenues working on routine maintenance on the water distribution system.
