CATCH and SL Miami at the James Royal Palm celebrated the first anniversary Monday with a star-studded blowout. Spotted in the restaurant were Ryan Phillippe and his girlfriend Paulina Slagter, Jeremy Piven, Marlon Wayans, Bethenny Frankel, ex Sopranos star Robert Iler and Busta Rhymes. After dinner, the party moved into SL where Busta Rhymes offered up a 45 minute surprise performance including many of his greatest hits.

Frankel was also seen Monday at the Soho House, where Katie Holmes was also spotted with an older woman some say was either her mother or publicist. On New Year's Eve, Holmes and that same woman stopped into LIV to check out DJ Tiesto. Says our spy, “She was very out of place.” Thursday night, the duo had dinner at Hakkasan.

And back on the Beyoncé and Jay-Z Take (and Eat) Miami Tour. On Monday night they had a romantic dinner on the terrace at Zuma and then headed to FDR at the Delano. On New Year's Day, the Carter fam was seen lounging upstairs at Casa Tua. On Thursday, the whole family — baby Blue Ivy included — was seen lunching at MC Kitchen in the Design District followed by another stroll through Wynwood Walls (B in high heels). So much for Jay Z's proposed ban on Florida.

Kicking 2014 off on the right foot, Diddy was spotted working out at Equinox South Beach alongside his right hand man, Damion D-Roc Butler. Seen burning off calories Monday night at Flywheel: actor Jeremy Piven, high fiving female admirers.

Jamie Foxx was seen on New Year’s Day, shopping at Aventura Mall.

Rick Ross took the mic around 2 a.m. New Year's Day at SL Miami at The James Royal Palm and gave an impromptu performance to ring in the New Year. Ross performed for more than 30 minutes.

X Factor judge Paulina Rubio had dinner Wednesday night at Sea Salt & Pepper. Also there that night: Philippe and Slagter, who were also seen Thursday night at Hyde Beach where they ordered bottles of Don Julio 1942, D'USSE and Dom Perignon. Also there was a random pairing: Iler with Wayans, who was earlier seen at Hyde AmericanAirlines Arena.

Phillippe clearly made his rounds, also seen Wednesday night at SET's new RICH at SET party along with Trey Songz and Busta Rhymes.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Michael Bay were seen dining separately with friends on New Year's Eve at Prime 112. On Wednesday, Foxx and his family were there celebrating a family member's birthday while elsewhere in the restaurant were Charles Oakley, Edgerrin James and Frankel.

Sean Connery loves soccer (and Caffe Abbracci)

Sean Connery had dinner Monday night with a group of friends at Caffe Abbracci. Connery greeted and shook hands with fans as he entered the room and was overheard chatting with restaurant owner Nino Pernetti about the World Cup, saying he regrets that his native country Scotland did not qualify and that England was eliminated in the first round. He did concede that Germany was the rightful winner. Connery also told Pernetti that what he enjoys most in life after making movies is ... soccer. The ex 007 left the restaurant, saying “Cheerio,” to the owner and his starstruck guests.
