Water-line break floods Miami Gardens neighborhood

A water-line break flooded several Miami Gardens streets and prompted a boil-water advisory for about 25 homes on Wednesday.

The pipe ruptured near Northwest 39th Avenue and 191st Street, according to Miami Herald news partner WFOR-CBS 4.

Before crews could turn off the water, thousands of gallons gushed out, causing minor flooding in streets and yards.

The precautionary boil-water notice was for homes from Northwest 37th Court to 39th Avenue and from 191st to 192nd streets.

Miami-Dade County Water and Sewer officials said the department contacted all residents whose homes were affected.
