Miami Beach tourist rescued from drowning

Miami Beach ocean and fire rescue revived an 18-year old Chinese tourist who nearly drowned Monday afternoon.

According to Fire Rescue Capt. Adonis Garcia:

Four teenagers went into the ocean but only three returned. Ocean rescue lifeguard Lucas Bocanegra had been watching the bunch of teens, and was able to find the missing man under the surf.

Bocanegra pulled the unnamed man back to shore. He had no pulse but his heart restarted after being shocked twice with a defibrillator.

The man was transported in stable condition to Mount Sinai Medical Center.
