The U.S. Postal Service is raising the price of first-class mail by 3 cents. When a private business is losing money, wise leaders try to make the service less expensive and more user friendly. Only government administrators raise the price, resulting in less mail being sent and an increase in the cost of doing business.
The Postal Service could effectively compete with email by stressing the safety of the mail and no worry about people stealing identities or card numbers.
