Hollywood police arrested a man Thursday in connection with the sexual assault of a 17-year-old girl.

Freddie Lee Gardner, 24, was charged with two counts of sexual assault and one count of kidnapping.

Gardner was arrested at his home, 1524 N. 22nd Ave., around 7:30 p.m., according to an arrest report.

In recent days, police had put out fliers around the neighborhood with a sketch of the suspect.

Police said the teen was walking south from a bus stop near South 24th Avenue and Jackson Street on Saturday when a man forced her into a van, took her to the 2700 block of Pierce Street and raped her.
