Wife of Fisher Island CEO jailed in New York for stealing pricey sweater

 

The socialite wife of the Fisher Island Club CEO spent Christmas in jail after stealing a $5,000 sweater from a Madison Avenue shop, according to a report by nypost.com.

Stefanie Lackner, 46, was caught last year leaving a dressing room at Bruno Cucinelli with a sweater in a shopping bag, according to court papers. She was sentenced to a month behind bars and began serving her sentence last week.

Lackner’s husband is Fisher Island Club chief Bernard Lackner, who took over the post last year after serving as general manager of New York’s Hotel Plaza-Athénée.

Stefanie Lackner is serving her time on Rikers Island, according to the report.

Her usual home is in a Southampton mansion.
