PortMiami again exceeds four million passengers



PortMiami said it processed more than 4 million passengers in the fiscal year that ended Sept. 30.

The self-proclaimed “Cruise Capital of the World” welcomed two new brands and three newly built ships last fiscal year.

In all, the port processed just over 4.03 million multi-day passengers and more than 48,000 single-day passengers who traveled to the Bahamas on a cruise ferry.

Port Director Bill Johnson said in a statement that the number of passengers in 2014 is expected to approach 5 million.
