South Florida celebrity chef Dewey LoSasso, whose last stop was at the landmark Forge restaurant in Miami Beach, has a new gourmet gig.
LoSasso has been named executive chef at Acqualina Resort & Spa in Sunny Isles Beach. LoSasso will oversee the food operation at the resort, including banquet service, two restaurants and a spa menu.
Before becoming the Forges top chef, LoSasso ran his own restaurant on Biscayne Boulevard, North One 10, near North Miami. He has been an executive with the China Grill restaurant groups Tuscan Steak in South Beach and was designer Donatella Versaces personal party chef.
He also appeared on the Food Network show Chopped two years ago.
