I generally agree with Fred Grimm, but disagree with his premise in his Dec. 15 column, MLB’s battle against A-Rod above the law. Sometimes you just have to make a deal with the devil. Using money or unsavory characters to help catch a politician on the take, an unscrupulous businessman, a drug dealer or violent felon is both acceptable and legal.
Good for Major League Baseball. May it continue its effort to clean up baseball, whatever it takes! And may Alex Rodriguez go down in flames as a result.
