If every dog has its day, for dachshunds in Key West that “day” will be New Year’s Eve. About 200 of the short-legged, long-bodied pups will lead their owners on a stroll during the ninth annual Key West Dachshund Walk. Standouts in last year’s parade included dachshunds dressed as wieners in oversized fabric buns, a duo portraying rival NFL cheerleaders, a bride and groom, and a four-legged ballerina in a purple tutu. Spectators should gather at noon on Fleming Street between Whitehead and Duval streets.
