I love art, and I planned to get tickets for the grand opening of the county’s new museum. I live here, the museum is built on public land, so it seemed logical that the public would be invited.
Guess what? The grand opening gala was for 700 VIP guests only. They were wined and dined and entertained by a number of A-list celebs. We, the people, got to stand on the sidewalk and watch the limos come and go.
I suggest that the elected officials who showed up be thrown out of office next election, then we can put a few hotdog stands outside of the museum and open it to the people who own it.
