Over the years I have been paying my share of Medicare costs. The Medicare tax rate is 1.45 percent each for the employee and employer for 2013, unchanged from 2012. There is no wage base limit for Medicare tax.
The Medicare system is working — perhaps not to perfection, but it provides the service as it was intended. Most employed workers, like me, would agree to pay the same percentage of our wages to be covered by Medicare like retired employees are covered today. No need for Obamacare. To have all employed workers covered under Medicare would create a larger share of healthy employees to be covered leaving a surplus in the Medicare system. No need to spend $500 million on a computer website that does not work.
You wonder why America does not trust President Obama. He has betrayed a nation and forgotten about our Constitution.
