On its 100th Anniversary, the Miami-Dade Salvation Army is kicking off the holiday by offering residents a chance to volunteer and help the less fortunate.
Help is needed at the Food Pantry to help pack grocery bags to be given to families in distress on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Or be one of the “elves” to sort and pack toys for underprivileged kids from all over Miami-Dade. The task requires some light lifting on Dec. 9 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Be a bell ringer and support the Salvation Army’s most prominent fund raiser, ring the Christmas bells and greet customers in retail locations across Miami-Dade, now through Dec. 25, except Sundays. Flexible hours between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. at a business location close to you.
