South Florida woke up in a fog Monday.
The National Weather Service on Monday issued a dense fog advisory for South Florida until 8 a.m. By 9 a.m., most of the fog burned off.
Areas under the advisory included Hialeah, Hollywood, Pembroke Pines, Davie, Sunrise, Fort Lauderdale and Pompano Beach.
Visibility in some places was less than a mile.
"The fog is thick and dangerous," said CBS4 meteorologist Lissette Gonzalez told her early-morning viewers.
During foggy conditions, forecasters suggest slower speeds on the road and low-beam headlights.
