1. Florida Gov. Rick Scott is waiving fishing license requirements for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. The governor and state wildlife officials have declared Friday a license-free freshwater fishing day and Saturday a license-free saltwater fishing day. Each year, the state authorizes eight license-free fishing days to help grow the fishing industry and promote conservation stewardship. All other fishing and boating rules and regulations still apply.
4. The University of Miami Hurricanes play Pitt at 3:30 p.m. Friday. The game, with temeratures expected in the 30s, will be shown on ABC.
5. South Florida woke up to the low 60s Friday, but temperatures will be rising to the high-70s. Overnight lows will be in the high-60s.
