My 305 style: Marcella Novela

Special to the Miami Herald

When she’s out and about, Art Conductor co-founder MARCELLA NOVELA brings along her daughters Savannah, 6 and Siena, 4. All three wear stylish, comfortable clothing so they look and feel great.

THE GIRLS

"It always felt very natural to take our children with us everywhere. As a result, [husband Daniel and I] can take them anywhere because they know how to act appropriately in any environment,’’ says Novela. “They love art, travelling, asking questions...They are little blank canvases, why not fill them with positive, beautiful experiences?"

THE LITTLE LOOK

Savannah wears a cream dress, black patent leather loafers, and a headband from Miami children’s boutique, Liliane Roland, 762 Arthur Godfrey Road, Miami Beach; fashionforchildren.com; 305-531-0130. Little sister Siena’s look came from Target and Marshalls, save for the specially made headband from Espiritútara and zebra-print ballet flats from Liliane Roland. “I try to pick them out [clothes] for them, but at the end of the day, they dress themselves.”

THE MOM LOOK

“The way you dress is how you’re going to feel throughout the day,” Novela says. Her styles goes from tailored to rock. Here, she pairs a large hand bag she designed herself. with caged boots from Valentino ($945-$1,795, Bal Harbour Shops, 9700 Collins Ave., 305-867-1215), a dress from Karina Grimaldi (from $218; available at Jessie Boutique, 20533 Biscayne Blvd. in Aventura, 305-933-8198 , and 1708 Alton Road, Miami Beach, 305-604-7980) and a cape from Bebe (Merrick Park, 350 San Lorenzo Ave., Coral Gables, 305-445-3122).

THE HAIR

Novella’s edgy haircut is her perfect accessory, styled by Andrea Battista at Junior & Hatter, 2750 NW Third Ave., Wynwood; 305-571-8361.

THE ACCESSORIES

“I do love to support local designers,” says Novela. This fishbone bracelet by Espiritutara, $45, comes from local Tara Sokolow-Benmeleh, who sells on her website, espiritutara.com.

THE SHOES

Alessandra Gold designed these shimmering (and comfy!) sneakers, $129, sold at her Midtown boutique, 3326 N. Miami Avenue, 786-518-3357.

THE BOUTIQUE

Liliane Roland on Miami Beach is their go-source for the girls’ high-style outfits. This Little Mark Jcobs dress featured a studded collar and matching belt. About $140, Liliane Roland, 762 Arthur Godfrey Road, fashionforchildren.com; 305-531-0130.

THE CHILL

Novela not only hangs out at Soho Beach House, she takes many of her meetings there — beachside, when the weather is good. 4385 Collins Ave., Miami Beach; 786-507-7900; sohobeachhouse.com.

THE WHEELS

Her Mercedes G500 has plenty of room for her girls and her business gear.
