Girl, 10, wounded during robbery near North Miami-Dade park


A 10-year-old girl was shot Tuesday night during an apparent robbery near a North Miami-Dade park.

The wounded girl was rushed to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in Hollywood, where she was treated.

The girl was hit in the leg. Her injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

Details about the robbery that led to the shooting were sketchy, but the shooting occurred near Oak Grove Park at 690 NE 159th St.

An arrest has reportedly been made.

The incident comes days after 10-year-old Aaron Vu was shot to death also during a robbery at his parents’ nail salon in Northwest Miami-Dade.
