The tables are set, the turkeys are thawed, and families are ready to give thanks.

But if you’re not into that kind of thing — or even if you are — here are four things you can do to shake it up this Thanksgiving.

1. Run or walk with Baptist Health South Florida’s Turkey Trot at Tropical Park in West Miami-Dade starting at 7:30 a.m.

2. Enjoy the North Miami Winternational Thanksgiving Day Parade at 10 a.m. starting at Northeast Sixth Avenue and running east along 125th Street to 12th Avenue.

3. Take a trip to the movies and catch up on November’s latest blockbusters. Regal and AMC theatres will be open Thursday.

4. Sawgrass Mills in Sunrise will open at 6 p.m. to help you get ahead on all your Black Friday desires.
