Victims identified in North Miami-Dade shooting

Police on Thursday identified the victims of a shooting where a man apparently opened fire on three neighbors over a long-standing dispute, then turned the gun on himself.

The noon-time incident on Wednesday, which spread out to three different crime scenes, left three men who lived blocks from each other dead and one in critical condition, Miami-Dade police said.

The suspect, Roberto Garcia Sousa , 72, is believed to have first fatally wounded Elio Acosta, 56, inside his home at 10515 NW 36th Pl. The shooter then ambushed two neighbors sitting on the porch 10330 NW 35th Ave.; Jesus Fernandez, 79, died at the scene; Miguel Enriquez, 77, is in stable condition.

Garcia then fled in a car. He committed suicide in a field in southwest Miami-Dade.

What sparked the violence is still under investigation.
